Description

Create stunning blue crayon suncatchers that brighten up your space while repurposing old crayons.

Ingredients

  • Blue crayons (old or new)
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Oven
  • Cookie cutter (optional for shapes)
  • String or suction cups (for hanging)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C).
  2. Peel the wrappers off the crayons and break them into small pieces, about 1-inch long.
  3. Lay a piece of parchment paper on the baking sheet and scatter the blue crayon pieces in any shape or design.
  4. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and watch carefully as the crayons melt (about 10-15 minutes).
  5. Once melted, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 15-20 minutes.
  6. Peel off the parchment paper gently to create your suncatcher.
  7. Attach string or suction cups to the top and display it on a sunny window.

Notes

Experiment with combining blue crayons with other colors for a vibrant look. Use different shaped cookie cutters for unique designs.
