Description

A fun and engaging project to create beautiful suncatchers using melted crayons, perfect for all ages.


Ingredients

  • Blue crayons (or other colors if desired)
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • An iron
  • Scissors
  • Pencil or marker
  • String or fishing line (for hanging)
  • A flat surface for cooling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the iron to a low heat setting.
  2. Shave the blue crayons into small pieces using a pencil sharpener or knife.
  3. Create a raindrop shape outline on wax paper using a pencil or marker.
  4. Layer the crayon shavings inside the raindrop outline on wax paper.
  5. Cover with another sheet of wax paper to protect the iron.
  6. Press the iron onto the top layer for a few seconds until the crayons melt.
  7. Allow to cool completely before carefully removing the wax paper.
  8. Cut out the raindrop shapes.
  9. Use a hole punch at the top of each raindrop and thread your string or fishing line for hanging.
