Description
A fun and engaging project to create beautiful suncatchers using melted crayons, perfect for all ages.
Ingredients
- Blue crayons (or other colors if desired)
- Wax paper or parchment paper
- An iron
- Scissors
- Pencil or marker
- String or fishing line (for hanging)
- A flat surface for cooling
Instructions
- Preheat the iron to a low heat setting.
- Shave the blue crayons into small pieces using a pencil sharpener or knife.
- Create a raindrop shape outline on wax paper using a pencil or marker.
- Layer the crayon shavings inside the raindrop outline on wax paper.
- Cover with another sheet of wax paper to protect the iron.
- Press the iron onto the top layer for a few seconds until the crayons melt.
- Allow to cool completely before carefully removing the wax paper.
- Cut out the raindrop shapes.
- Use a hole punch at the top of each raindrop and thread your string or fishing line for hanging.
