Description

Create delightful Black Cat Truffles that perfectly capture the essence of Halloween with rich chocolate flavor and spooky appeal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (or dairy-free chips)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream for vegan)
  • 1/4 cup black cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: cacao nibs, sprinkles, or chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it’s steaming but not boiling. Pour the hot cream over the dark chocolate chips in a bowl. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes to melt.
  2. Add the black cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the melted chocolate. Stir gently until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 60-120 minutes, or until the mixture is firm.
  4. Once chilled, use a small cookie scoop or your hands to shape the ganache into balls. Roll the balls in your choice of powdered sugar or cacao nibs for an extra touch.
  5. Place each truffle in a mini cupcake liner for a festive presentation.

Notes

Try adding custom fillings or swapping coatings for variety. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
