Description

A delightful and easy-to-make treat for birds using peanut butter, clementines, and birdseed.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup birdseed
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter (ensure it’s free of xylitol)
  • 2 clementines, halved and juiced
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for easier mixing)
  • String or twine (for hanging)

Instructions

  1. Juice the clementines into a mixing bowl and set aside the halved rinds.
  2. Add the peanut butter to the clementine juice and mix well.
  3. If using coconut oil, gently warm the mixture in the microwave.
  4. Add the birdseed, stirring until each seed is coated.
  5. Fill the clementine rinds with the mixture, pressing down to pack tightly.
  6. Insert string into the top of each filled rind for hanging.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.

Notes

Customize with different seeds or use nut butters as alternatives.
