Ingredients

  • Bioplastic sheets or film
  • Food coloring or natural dyes
  • Cookie cutters (various shapes)
  • Parchment paper
  • Baking tray

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by clearing a flat surface and laying down parchment paper.
  2. Cut bioplastic sheets into desired sizes with scissors and press cookie cutters onto the sheets to create shapes.
  3. Drip food coloring or natural dyes onto the bioplastic shapes and blend using toothpicks or a small brush.
  4. Place the decorated shapes on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake at 250°F (120°C) for 10-15 minutes or cure in direct sunlight for several hours.
  5. Allow shapes to cool completely and use clear adhesive if desired.
  6. Punch a small hole at the top of each suncatcher and thread string or wire for hanging.

Notes

Experiment with colors and shapes to create unique suncatchers. Look for natural dye alternatives for an eco-friendlier option.
