Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of water
  • ½ cup of corn syrup
  • 1 cup of cornstarch
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • Cookie cutters or molds
  • Straws (for hanging)
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of water, ½ cup of corn syrup, and 1 cup of cornstarch. Stir thoroughly to ensure there are no lumps.
  2. Divide the mixture into smaller bowls if using multiple colors. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix well.
  3. Place wax paper on a flat surface. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes from the colored bioplastic mixture. Insert a straw piece for hanging.
  4. Allow the suncatchers to dry for at least 24 hours until firm. Peel off the wax paper.
  5. Hang your suncatchers through the straw and find sunny spots for display.
