Instructions
- Gather all materials: Make sure you have everything at hand.
- Cover your surfaces: Lay down wax paper if working on a hard surface for easy cleanup.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of cornstarch.
- Stir until there are no lumps; you should feel a smooth consistency.
- Add 2 tablespoons of corn syrup for added flexibility.
- Mix in your desired food coloring to achieve the perfect shade.
- Pour the mixture onto wax paper or into silicone molds.
- If you want specific shapes, use cookie cutters to create fun designs.
- Smooth out the mixture gently to achieve even thickness.
- Preheat your oven to 175°F (80°C).
- Place the baking sheet with your sun catchers in the oven.
- Bake for 3-4 hours or until the surface is firm and dry to the touch.
- Once cooled, carefully remove your sun catchers from the wax paper or molds.
- Use a hole punch to create a hole at the top for hanging.
