Description

A whimsical DIY project that combines creativity and fun in a glass, perfect for parties or cozy nights at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 clear glass or plastic bottle (empty soda or water bottle)
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 1 cup of vinegar
  • Food coloring (your choice of colors)
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of water
  • Optional: glitter for extra sparkle

Instructions

  1. Start with a Clean Bottle: Make sure your bottle is thoroughly cleaned and dried.
  2. Add Baking Soda: Pour 2 tablespoons of baking soda into the bottle.
  3. Mix Vinegar: In a separate container, gently mix 1 cup of vinegar with food coloring until the desired color is achieved.
  4. Combine with Baking Soda: Slowly pour the colored vinegar into the bottle with baking soda. Watch as it fizzes and bubbles!
  5. Add Water: Once the fizzing subsides, cautiously add 1 cup of water to the bottle.
  6. Pour in Vegetable Oil: Carefully add 1 cup of vegetable oil on top of the water for a mesmerizing layer.
  7. Add Glitter: Sprinkle some glitter into the bottle (optional).
  8. Seal and Display: Place a cap or lid on the bottle and display it in a well-lit area for the best effect.
