Ingredients

- 1 cup of baking soda
- 1 cup of vinegar

- Small plastic bottle or cup
- Modeling clay or papier-mâché

Instructions
- Use modeling clay or papier-mâché to create the volcano around the plastic bottle or cup, leaving the top open.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda with a few drops of dish soap.
- Optional: Add food coloring and mix well.
- Pour the baking soda mixture into the volcano.
- In a separate container, measure out 1 cup of vinegar and pour it into the volcano to create the eruption.
- Observe the fizzy reaction as the volcano erupts. Discuss the science behind the reaction, especially with children.
