- 2–3 tablespoons baking soda
- ¼ cup white vinegar
- Food coloring (optional)
- Spoon or stir stick
- Tray or baking sheet (to catch spills)
- Safety goggles (for added fun)
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by setting up a tray or baking sheet to contain any mess and gathering all materials.
- Add 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda to the small container and observe its dry texture.
- If using, add a few drops of food coloring to the baking soda.
- Quickly pour in ¼ cup of white vinegar and stand back to watch the mini fireworks display.
- Observe the bubbling and fizzing action.
- Once the fizzing subsides, clean up spills with a wet cloth or sponge.
