Description

An exciting DIY project that uses baking soda and vinegar to create visually stunning eruptions, perfect for educational fun.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • 1 plastic bottle or container (12 liter)
  • Tray or baking sheet (to catch spills)
  • Safety goggles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace on a tray or baking sheet.
  2. Gather the materials to ensure everything is ready.
  3. Pour about 1/4 cup of baking soda into the bottom of the plastic bottle.
  4. If using, add a few drops of food coloring.
  5. Slowly pour in about 1/2 cup of white vinegar into the bottle.
  6. Step back and watch for the eruption!
  7. Marvel at the bubbling eruption.
  8. Clean up by pouring away the mixture and washing your materials.
