Description

Create colorful and glittery baking soda treasure rocks with hidden surprises, perfect for crafts and decorations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Glitter (optional)
  • Plastic molds (ice cube trays or silicone molds)
  • Small plastic toys or treasures (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Watch the mixture fizz and stir until well blended, then slowly add 1/2 cup of water.
  2. Divide your mixture into small bowls. Add food coloring to create vibrant colors, and mix in glitter if desired.
  3. Spoon the colorful mixture into your plastic molds. If desired, place small toys in the center before the mixture sets.
  4. Leave the molds in a cool, dry place for 24 to 48 hours until fully dried, then gently pop the rocks out of the molds.

Notes

Consider using natural dyes instead of food coloring for a healthier option. These rocks can also be used for themed parties or as gifts.
