Description

Create festive and durable snowflake ornaments using common household ingredients. Perfect for holiday decor or as heartfelt gifts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • Optional: Paint or glitter for decoration
  • String or ribbon for hanging

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Stir gently until fizz settles, then add 1/4 cup cornstarch and mix until dough-like.
  2. Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C). Roll out dough between two sheets of parchment paper until 1/4 inch thick, then cut out snowflake shapes using a cookie cutter.
  3. Place cut-out snowflakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 1-2 hours until firm and dry.
  4. Let cool completely before decorating with paint or glitter. Thread string or ribbon for hanging.

Notes

These ornaments can be personalized with colors or textures. Store them in a cool, dry place for longevity.
