Description

A delightful and creative activity using baking soda, vinegar, and food coloring for an effervescent painting experience.

Ingredients

  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Food coloring (variety of colors)
  • Small bowls or cups
  • Paintbrushes or droppers
  • White paper or canvas
  • Tray or baking sheet (to contain mess)
  • Optional: Paper towels for cleanup

Instructions

  1. Gather all materials and set them up on a tray to manage spills and splatters. Make sure your surfaces are protected with extra paper towels.
  2. On a sheet of white paper or canvas, sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda and spread it evenly.
  3. In small bowls or cups, mix vinegar with several drops of food coloring and stir gently to combine.
  4. Using a paintbrush or a dropper, apply the colored vinegar onto the baking soda-coated surface and watch the colors fizz and bubble.
  5. Allow your masterpiece to dry completely before displaying it. Optionally, add additional designs with paint or markers once dry.

Notes

Add glitter for extra sparkle and experiment with different papers and colors. Try flavored vinegar for a fun twist;
