Description

A delightful craft project that combines art and science as you create a magical tree using baking soda and vinegar.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Tray or baking sheet to catch overflow
  • Spoon or small container for mixing
  • Pipe cleaners or craft sticks for the tree structure

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of water until well dissolved.
  2. Create the structure of your tree using pipe cleaners or craft sticks.
  3. If using food coloring, add a few drops into the baking soda mixture.
  4. Pour the baking soda mixture over the tree structure.
  5. Prepare a cup with 2 cups of vinegar and slowly pour it over the baking soda-covered tree and watch it grow!
