Description

A fun and interactive craft project to create miniature pine trees using common household materials.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Baking soda
  • 1/3 cup Water
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • 1 bowl for mixing
  • Baking tray or plate
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • Toothpicks or skewer sticks

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda with 1/3 cup of water to create a mixture.
  2. Add a few drops of green food coloring to the mixture if desired.
  3. Mold the mixture into cone shapes resembling pine trees on a baking tray lined with wax paper or parchment paper.
  4. Pour vinegar over the shaped trees and watch them fizz and bubble.
  5. Allow the creations to dry for several hours or overnight until hard.
  6. Once dry, insert toothpicks or skewer sticks into the base for tree trunks.
  7. Arrange your mini pine forest as desired.

Notes

Experiment with colors and materials like salt for different textures. Consider adding glitter for a magical effect.
