Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- Food coloring (green, brown, and any other preferred colors)
- 1/4 cup liquid dish soap
- Muffin tin or shallow dish
- Small plastic trees or paper cutouts (optional)
- Container or tray for the display
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: In a bowl, mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1/4 cup of liquid dish soap. Press the mixture into the muffin tin or shallow dish to form small mounds.
- Create the Reaction: In a separate bowl, combine 1/3 cup of vinegar with a few drops of food coloring. Carefully pour the colored vinegar over the baking soda mounds and watch the reaction.
- Final Touches: Once the reaction settles, decorate your forest with small plastic trees or paper cutouts and display it on a tray to catch any overflow.
Notes
Experiment with different colors and textures. Consider sealing the forest with clear sealant for longer-lasting results.
