- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- Food coloring (optional)
- Heart-shaped cookie cutter or mold
- Shallow dish or tray

Instructions
- Prepare Your Space: Choose a clean, flat surface and lay down newspaper or paper towels.
- Mix the Ingredients: In a bowl, mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1/2 cup of water until dissolved. Stir in 1/2 cup of corn syrup.
- Add Color: Add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture if desired.
- Mold: Pour the mixture into your heart-shaped cookie cutter or mold.
- Contain: Place the mold in a shallow dish or tray to catch any overflow.
- Wait: Allow the mixture to sit undisturbed for 24-48 hours.
- Remove: Once the crystals have solidified, carefully remove them from the mold.
- Dry: Place the crystals on a paper towel to dry completely.
