Description

Create a magical glowing winter tree inside a jar using simple materials for a delightful winter decoration.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • A jar (glass or plastic)
  • Cotton balls or fake snow
  • Small plastic tree (or handmade paper tree)
  • LED tealight candles
  • Food coloring (blue or white, optional)
  • Glitter (optional)
  • Craft glue or glue gun

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda with 1/3 cup of white vinegar. Watch it fizz!
  2. If desired, mix in food coloring and stir until evenly distributed.
  3. Layer the bottom of your jar with cotton balls or fake snow.
  4. Place a plastic tree in the jar or craft a paper tree separately and secure it inside.
  5. Add the baking soda mixture gently on top of the cotton balls, pressing slightly.
  6. Place an LED tealight candle at the base for illumination.
  7. Seal the jar and position it to display your glowing winter creation. Turn off the lights to enjoy!
