Description

A fun and easy DIY activity for Halloween that combines science and creativity, resulting in glowing ghost slime that’s safe for kids.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup white school glue
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 23 tablespoons glow-in-the-dark paint or powder
  • 1 cup liquid starch
  • Optional: Food coloring
  • Bowl for mixing
  • Spoon or whisk for stirring

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together 1 cup of white school glue and 1 cup of warm water until well combined. Stir in 1 teaspoon of baking soda.
  2. If using glow-in-the-dark paint or powder, add 2-3 tablespoons to the mixture and stir thoroughly.
  3. Slowly add 1 cup of liquid starch while stirring continuously until the slime pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  4. Knead the slime with your hands for a few minutes until it becomes less sticky.
  5. Turn off the lights to see your glowing slime in action and enjoy!

Notes

Store slime in an airtight container to prolong its life and maintain its flexibility. Experiment with colors and textures by adding glitter or small foam balls.
