Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • A clear jar or container
  • A mixing spoon
  • Safety goggles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Select a clean and dry clear jar or glass container.
  2. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of water with 1 tablespoon of baking soda and stir until dissolved.
  3. Carefully pour the baking soda solution into the jar, filling it halfway.
  4. In a separate container, add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar slowly to the baking soda solution.
  5. Drop in food coloring by the drop to create a vibrant display.
  6. Stand back and enjoy the fizzing reaction as it mimics fireworks!

Notes

For added effects, use different color combinations or a larger container for bigger explosions. Adding tonic water can enhance the glow under black light.
