Scale
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup corn starch
- 1/2 cup water
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Glitter (optional)
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Cookie cutters or molds

Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, mix baking soda, cornstarch, and water. Stir until well combined.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and continuously stir until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan – about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let the dough cool slightly until it’s easy to handle.
- Knead the dough for a minute, then divide it into smaller portions and add food coloring, mixing thoroughly for even distribution.
- Roll out the colored dough to about 1/4 inch thickness and cut out shapes using cookie cutters or molds.
- Preheat your oven to 175°F (80°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the shapes on the lined baking sheet, ensuring enough space between them.
- Bake for 45 minutes to an hour until the ornaments are firm to the touch.
- Once baked, let the ornaments cool completely.
- For a sparkling effect, paint or sprinkle glitter over the ornaments and use string or ribbon to hang them.
