Description

An engaging craft project that combines art and science through vibrant fizzy paintings using baking soda and vinegar.


Ingredients

  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Liquid watercolor paints (optional)
  • Small containers for mixing
  • Paintbrushes or droppers
  • Thick paper or watercolor paper
  • Disposable tray or baking sheet for the workspace
  • Protective covering for your workspace (newspaper or plastic)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by laying down newspaper or plastic.
  2. In different small containers, add about 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda and spread it evenly on the paper.
  3. In separate containers, mix 1-2 tablespoons of white vinegar with food coloring or liquid watercolors.
  4. Using paintbrushes or droppers, apply the colored vinegar to the baking soda and watch the fizzing reaction.
  5. Allow your artwork to dry completely to preserve the textures.

Notes
