Description

Create a delightful glow-in-the-dark snowman using simple baking soda dough! Perfect for crafting with kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups baking soda
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Glow-in-the-dark paint or powder
  • Mixing bowl
  • Saucepan
  • Spoon
  • Baking sheet
  • Wax paper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the baking soda, cornstarch, and water. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens into a dough consistency.
  2. Cool: Once thickened, remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Knead the dough on a flat, wax paper-covered surface until smooth and pliable.
  3. Shape the Snowman: Roll three different-sized balls for the snowman’s body. Stack them on top of each other, from largest to smallest. Use additional dough or different colors for buttons, eyes, and a carrot nose.
  4. Glow It Up: Paint or sprinkle glow-in-the-dark powder on the assembled snowman. Allow it to dry according to the instructions on your glow product.

Notes

Customize your snowman with different colors and accessories. The dough can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
