- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 3 cups cornstarch

- Paint (optional for additional design)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of white vinegar.
- Stir gently until the mixture stops fizzing; then, add in 3 cups of cornstarch.
- Mix over medium heat until the dough thickens and forms a ball.
- Remove the dough from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- Knead the dough on a clean surface for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and pliable.
- Roll the dough out with a rolling pin to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Use tree-shaped cookie cutters to cut out the trees, or you can use a knife for freehand designs.
- Place the cut-out trees on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let the trees air dry for at least 24 hours, flipping them halfway through to ensure even drying.
- Once dry, use craft glue to add glitter or sequins to your trees. You can also paint them for a more colorful look!
Notes
For different textures, swap cornstarch with flour. Use natural dyes or spices instead of food coloring.
