- 1 cup baking soda
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- Food coloring (optional)
- A heat-safe container (e.g., jar or bowl)
- A whisk or spoon for mixing
- String or fishing line for hanging (if desired)
- Optional: Additional decorative elements (e.g., small figurines, glitter)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of water. Stir well until the baking soda is fully dissolved.
- Mix in 1/2 cup of corn syrup to the solution. Observe the texture becoming thicker and stickier.
- For color, drizzle a few drops of food coloring into the bowl and stir until evenly distributed.
- Choose a heat-safe container and pour the mixture into it. For hanging, tie string or fishing line around the rim of the container.
- Leave the container in a cool, undisturbed area for 3-7 days to allow crystals to form.
- Once formed, gently remove the crystals and arrange them to create your village scene. Add decorative elements as desired.

Ensure you leave the mixture undisturbed to allow proper crystal formation. Experiment with different materials and colors for unique designs.
