Description

A fun and educational winter craft where you create a crystal snowman using baking soda and water, perfect for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup water
  • A glass or plastic container
  • Small bowl (for mixing)
  • Spoon or stirring stick
  • Optional: food coloring or glitter
  • Twigs, buttons, or other craft supplies for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the baking soda and water until you form a thick paste. Optionally, add a few drops of food coloring for a colorful snowman.
  2. Spoon the mixture into your container, molding it into a snowman shape with a larger base and smaller balls for the head and middle.
  3. Allow the snowman to dry for about 24 hours.
  4. Once dry, sprinkle more baking soda over the snowman and mist with water to initiate crystal growth.
  5. Observe your snowman over the next few days as crystals begin to form.

Notes

Customize your snowman with different colors, add sparkle with glitter, or experiment with size and shapes.
