Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 3/4 cup water
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Mixing bowl
- Cooking pot
- Spoon
- Baking sheet
- Wax paper or parchment paper
- Cookie cutters (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of cornstarch. Gradually add 3/4 cup of water, stirring until well-blended.
- Pour the mixture into a cooking pot over medium heat. Stir continuously for about 5 minutes or until thickened and resembling dough.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Divide the dough into portions for colors, adding food coloring and kneading until distributed.
- Place wax or parchment paper on a baking sheet and cut out shapes using cookie cutters or roll into small balls.
- Let the ornaments dry at room temperature for 24-48 hours. Optionally, add details after drying.
Notes
Add essential oils for scent, mix in glitter for sparkle, or experiment with shapes and colors.
