Description

Create a unique and eco-friendly Christmas decoration with this fun and interactive craft project.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons corn syrup
  • Food coloring (green is preferred)
  • A bowl for mixing
  • Cardboard or a tray for base
  • Small decorative items (beads, sequins, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1/3 cup of vinegar to create a fizzy reaction. Slowly stir in 1/2 cup of water and 3 tablespoons of corn syrup. Add 2-3 drops of green food coloring.
  2. On a sturdy cardboard or tray, pile the baking soda mixture to form a tree shape, with a wider base and a peak at the top.
  3. Allow your tree to sit undisturbed overnight to dry and expand.
  4. Once dry, decorate your tree with small items like beads and sequins.

Notes

Experiment with different colors and textures to customize your tree. Use decorative paper or cloth for the base.
