Description

A hearty and comforting dish made of slow-cooked potatoes with a rich mix of seasonings and onions, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • Optional: fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and cook until translucent.
  4. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
  5. Layer the sliced potatoes in the skillet, seasoning with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the vegetable broth over the potatoes, covering them evenly.
  7. Cover with a lid and cook on the stove for 10 minutes.
  8. Transfer to the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve hot.

Notes

For a healthier version, replace butter with olive oil and add more vegetables such as bell peppers or spinach.
