Description

Create a festive 4th of July windsock to celebrate independence with colorful decorations that you can customize.

Ingredients

  • Pipe cleaners (red, white, and blue)
  • Streamers (in red, white, and blue)
  • Plastic or paper cup
  • String or fishing line
  • Scissors
  • Glue or tape
  • Markers or stickers for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: Take a clean plastic or paper cup. If using a plastic cup, sand down any sharp edges for safety.
  2. Decorate the Cup: Use markers or stickers to add patriotic designs to your cup.
  3. Create the Streamers: Cut the streamers into long pieces (12-18 inches).
  4. Attach the Streamers: Puncture small holes around the edge of the cup and thread the streamers through the holes.
  5. Add Hanging String: Puncture another small hole at the top of the cup and thread a piece of string or fishing line through this hole.
  6. Final Touches: Shake to ensure security, then hang your windsock in a breezy spot.

Notes

Customize colors and add embellishments for extra flair. Supervise young children with scissors and hot glue.
