Description

Celebrate Independence Day by making colorful suncatchers that reflect the vibrant spirit of the 4th of July.

Ingredients

  • Clear plastic lids or transparency sheets
  • Red tissue paper
  • White tissue paper
  • Blue tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Liquid glue or glue stick
  • Brush for applying glue
  • Black marker (optional)
  • String or ribbon for hanging
  • Optional: glitter for added sparkle

Instructions

  1. Gather your plastic lids or transparency sheets to use as frames.
  2. Tear or cut the red, white, and blue tissue paper into small shapes.
  3. Arrange the tissue paper pieces on your base creatively.
  4. Use the brush to apply a thin layer of glue over the tissue paper.
  5. Cover the entire piece with another layer of glue to seal it. Let it dry completely.
  6. Cut a piece of string or ribbon and attach it securely to the top of the suncatcher.

Notes

You can experiment with shapes, swap materials, and try glow-in-the-dark paint for nighttime viewing.
