Ingredients
- Clear plastic lids (from jars or containers)
- Red tissue paper
- White tissue paper
- Blue tissue paper
- Scissors
- School glue or Mod Podge
- Paintbrush (optional)
- String or ribbon for hanging
- Hole punch (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by covering a flat surface with newspaper or a plastic tablecloth.
- Tear or cut the tissue paper into small shapes or squares, about 1 inch.
- Ensure jar lids are clean and dry. Use a hole punch to create a hole for hanging if desired.
- Spread a thin layer of glue inside the plastic lid using a paintbrush.
- Place the cut tissue paper shapes onto the glued surface, layering them for visual interest.
- Apply another thin layer of glue on top to seal the design.
- Let the suncatcher dry completely for a couple of hours.
- Once dry, use string or ribbon to hang the suncatchers in windows or outdoors.
Notes
Add glitter or try different shapes for a fun twist. Use waterproof glue if hanging outdoors.
