Description
A fun and colorful craft to celebrate Independence Day by creating illuminated jars that capture the spirit of fireworks.
Ingredients
- Clean glass jar (Mason jar or any clear jar)
- Clear glue or mod podge
- Fine glitter (red, white, blue)
- Paintbrush
- LED tea light candle (battery-operated)
- Water
- Optional: Ribbon or twine for decoration
Instructions
- Clean the jar thoroughly and ensure it’s dry.
- Apply a thin layer of clear glue or mod podge on the inside of the jar using a paintbrush.
- While the glue is still wet, sprinkle fine glitter in red, white, and blue randomly inside the jar.
- Create swirls or patterns with the glitter using a brush or your fingers for a dynamic effect.
- Carefully pour a small amount of water into the jar to enhance the sparkle of the glitter.
- Add an LED tea light candle on top of the water inside the jar.
- Optionally, wrap ribbon or twine around the neck of the jar for decoration.
Notes
Supervise children while applying glue and handling the jar. Store in a cool, dry place after use.
